Laboratory of Computer Information Technologies is a separate structural unit of the Faculty of Electronics. Lab determined the Charter of Lviv Ivan Franko National University and the provisions of interdepartmental laboratory computer information technology department of electronics.

    The main areas of research are:

• research in the field of computer information technology;
• development of new computer information technologies and software products;
• implementation in the educational process and research of new computer information technologies. Development of methodological support for their practical use;
• development and support of Web pages of faculty, departments, units of the faculty, journals, scientific conferences;
• software development and support a database of faculty electronics: personal pages, electronic bulletin boards, electronic libraries, electronic schedule of classes, curricula, programs, courses and practices;
• software development for remote testing and training of entrants to testing;
• installation, configuration and support of hardware and software, Internet servers and local networks;
• of activities to improve information security of local networks of faculty;
• access to information resources of the Internet and local networks of employees and students of the Faculty of Electronics;
• implementation and development techniques using software that is distributed on a free license.

      The laboratory is concentrated equipment associated with the use of teaching and scientific work of Internet resources and information technology.
